Healthy Jalapeno Poppers

The Chili Grills are flying off the shelves! This summer we have turned so many people on to the healthiest way to enjoy stuffed peppers.

Of course you can get the Chili Grills, Jalapeno Corer and the book "Take Your Jalapeno and Stuff It" book in our shop but there is 1 recipe not in the book we love and wanted to share it.

Cut top off jalapeno (remember, the bigger the pepper, the milder the taste) and core with corer (these are so slick). Place in cold water until all jalapeno's are done prepared. Mix 8 oz. cream cheese with approx. 1/4 cup gruyere cheese until well mixed. Remove jalapeno's from water and dry. Poke hole it tip of jalapeno with a toothpick to allow moisture to evaporate while cooking. Put cheese mixture into large resealable zip lock bag and cut off tip to pipe into each jalapeno. Stuff jalapeno with cheese mixture and top each jalapeno with 1/3 slice of raw bacon securing with toothpick through top of jalapeno. Place on BBQ grill (over opposite side of heat, you don't want to burn the peppers and you want the bacon to be done) or you can place them in the oven at 350 degrees (be sure to put on cookie sheet to catch bacon grease). When the bacon is done, the peppers are done to perfection. (about 20-30 minutes). These start out being an appetizer but end up being a meal.
