Alright we finally did it! Many people who have visited the store have asked for the recipe ideas that Ed rattles off for using Lizano. It's one of our very best sellers and once you taste it, you'll visualize all the various things you can do with it. Here are just a few:
1. Put about 1/4 cup to each pound of ground beef for perfect burgers on the grill.
2. Add to red beans and rice.
3. Use in place of milk when scrambling eggs.
4. The best pulled pork sauce EVER! Cook a pork roast (butt roast works fantastic) until you can shred with a fork. Add Lizano to desired consistence and serve on grilled hamburger buns. Also, since Lizano has no heat and is made from vegetables we add 1/2 tsp. of Habby Flakes to kick it up a notch.
5. When making italian dressing in a cruet use balsamic vinegar in place of wine vinegar and add 3 tsp. of Lizano to mixture and serve over greens! Yum.
6. When grilling vegetables, brush over vegetables just before you pull them off the grill. Who needs butter!
7. Try mixing it in your meatloaf. It ain't your momma's meatloaf any more!
8. You gotta try Lizano in a Bloody Mary. Add a couple of tablespoons into your favorite Bloody Mary and you'll be known for your signature drink.
