San Juan Style Buffalo Wing Sauce

It's Free!

This recipe is super economical and once you try it, no other wing sauce will do.
4 cups (32 ox.) Franks Red Hot (chili lime
or original).
2 packages Good Seasons (or generic)
dried Italian Salad dressing mix.
1 stick of butter (the real stuff, no substitutions.)

Mix all ingredients in a large sauce pan and heat slowly. DO NOT BOIL. Once heated, divide mixture reserving some for marinating. Add wings (we use full size thighs because we like the extra meat!) and heat slowly 8-10 minutes. Place wings (or thighs) on cookie sheet and place in 500 degree oven until crisp basing as desired OR put on your bbq grill and baste until crispy. (Note: if you use full sized thighs, allow extra cooking time to ensure the meat is thoroughly cooked). Serve immediately but have a tray of celery, carrots and ranch dressing (or even bleu cheese dressing) ready to help your guests cool down. Served with ice cold beer, these make a great Super Bowl Sunday even better.
